LABTrack™ represents an exciting new development in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) - a new generation called Electronic Lab Notebooks. Typically LIMS store only reduced and/or approved data. LABTrack can store ALL of the data that your lab produces – Raw and Reduced. LABTrack makes it very easy to store all your batch and sample data, results, notes, SOP’s, chromatograms, spectra, spreadsheets, word processing doc’s, photographs, molecular models – even video and audio clips!
Single or Multiple User Notebooks
Like a LIMS, LABTrack™ can be used simultaneously by one or many people. Each user can have their own LABTrack notebook – or several people can collaborate and share a notebook. LABTrack allows you to setup as many notebooks as you need. And the optional Crystal Reports software supports linking multiple notebooks together for laboratory and organization-wide reporting needs.
Customizing a LABTrack notebook is a snap with the LABTrack Config utility. Define up to 12 custom fields to track laboratory specific information about your samples, batches and materials. You can define an unlimited number of tests, analysts, products etc. You can even define custom tables to store related information such as clients, addresses, company departments, sample locations, vendors, price lists.
LABTrack™ works like a laboratory notebook.
Users may enter data into their LABTrack notebook whenever they want. But like a paper based notebook, instead of allowing editing and deleting, LABTrack gives users the ability to Line-Out results! There is never a need for an audit trail since all of the data is stored .
Collaboration Tools
LABTrack™ incorporates a number of features that simplify the sharing of a notebook including individualized user Menus and Toolbars, User Worklists, Automated QC Sample Login and Sample Approval. With the new Electronic Signature function, LABTrack™ users are accurately identified, data entries properly dated and sourced.
FDA Electronic Signature
LABTrack™ incorporates the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Electronic Signature standard. With this option enabled, users are accurately identified when ever they login samples, store or line-out results and generate reports. And with the optional TouchPad signature device, users can store their digitized signatures for inclusion in reports, files and faxes.
Custom Reports and Forms
LABTrack™ includes over a dozen predefined reports for functions common to most laboratories. All of these reports can be customized using the optional Crystal Reports program from Seagate Software. Custom reports are easily incorporated directly into LABTrack’s menus and toolbar and can be used throughout the lab or assigned to specific users.
Exporting data from LABTrack into other Windows applications is easy with the built-in Crystal Reports engine. Any data you want can be exported to Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Lotus 1-2-3, even HTML! LABTrack notebooks are Microsoft Access compatible databases and are directly compatible with many Windows® applications including Microsot Word®, Excel®, and Access®.
