This program includes calculations for volumetric to linear flow, HETP
(from graph or equation), resolution using peak width at baseline or at
half height, effective plate counts, and capacity factor. The gas chromatography
section includes the linear velocity equation for using the unretained
peak and calculates the split ratio and phase ratio for capillary gas chromatography.
Also resident, is a complete table of properties of carrier gases including
densities, thermal conductivities, viscosities, heat capacities, and molecular
weights. For liquid chromatographers, the program includes complete databases
for solvent miscibilities and solvent properties. The properties listed
for each solvent are UV cutoff, refractive index, boiling point, viscosity,
polarity, and dielectric constant. The program also allows you to calculate
optimal flow rates and capacities. The ion chromatography section includes
a table of Limiting Equivalent Conductance's of over 150 inorganic and
organic anions and cations. With this program you will never have to memorize
these equations or parameters. Just select an item from the menu and let
the software calculate or look up the values for you. (Requires Windows
3.1, 95, 98 or NT).
