In addition a large variety of templates makes implementation quicker and easier. It has been estimated that firms spend between 2% to 5% of their operating budget to attain ISO 9000 certification. The ISOPLUS 9000 total package contains four main components:
1) THE EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT: Training is provided using advanced computer assisted learning techniques covering lessons in the following area: ISO 9000 Basics Change/Motivational/Leadership strategies for implementing ISO 9000 ISO 9000 purposes and approaches to a quality system registration of the quality system ISO 9000 leadership and the quality system implementation quality in line organizations Quality system infrastructure using ISO 9000 in your company
The program also has objective quizzes on 4 of the 5 modules that use computer assisted learning to facilitate learning by employees. Scores are deposited to an employee training file.
2) THE AUDIT PROGRAMS COMPONENT: This component consists of two types of audit programs. First an element by element audit of ISO 9000 program which generates (based on your inputs) deficiencies and items that need to be corrected to bring your quality assurance system into compliance. These deficiencies may be printed or stored in a user file. The second audit program is a comprehensive summary audit covering all 20 elements and provides a summary score as to the readiness of your system to comply with ISO 9000 standards.
THE TEMPLATES COMPONENT: A large variety of templates for ISO 9000 Business Plan, 3 types of Quality Manuals, Evaluation Surveys, Checklists for 9001, 9002, 9003, Gannt charts for implementation, Registration, Documentation Matrices, Procedures/document control, Discrepancies/corrective action, Gage Matrix, etc. are available to ease the implementation process if registering for the first time or registering towards a higher level.
THE HELP COMPONENT: The program has extensive help with hypertext facility including ISO 8402 definitional components, documentation summary models, ISO 9000 implementation, 9004 guidelines, 9004-2 (services) and ISO 9001, 2, 3 standards Documentation (all hyperlinked) is also provided all contents updated to reflect the 1994 revisions.
