Navigator Wizard:

• Just answer a few simple questions and the NAVIGATOR WIZARD tells you the right experiment design for your study variables and goals.

• The NAVIGATOR WIZARD even has its own scrolling on-line Help with expanded discussions of each question and plain English explanations of each answer option.

• CARD lets you combine Mixture variables (formulation/blending components) and Process variables (eg. Temp., Pressure, etc.) in the same experiment.

• CARD lets you study all variable types: Continuous (any level within a specified range), Discrete (only certain levels are allowed or desired), and Non-numeric (eg. Operator, Batch, etc.).

CARD lets you accommodate restrictions on how two or more variables can be combined experimentally.

• RATIO constraints can restrict the experimental ratio of two or more experiment variables.

CARD checks your data for nonuniform or nonlinear error, as well as nonlinear responses. Nonlinear error and responses are quite common and cause normal regression analysis to give false results.

CARD automatically handles missing response data for a given design sample (run), as well as missing repeat data when more than one repeat test is carried out on each sample.

• Experimental Error Analysis

ONLY CARD automatically quantifies your overall experimental error and translates the error into data analysis targets. CARD automatically reflects your analysis results against the error targets to determine the completeness and correctness of the analysis results.

• Manual or Automated Stepwise Regression Analysis

CARD has fully automated and user interactive regression analysis. Under the automated option CARD executes a powerful stepwise regression analysis. Under the user-interactive option you can select the specific terms you want in your analysis model or select the model terms that are statistically significant at your desired level of confidence.

CARD tells you if you have an outlier, and if it is compromising the analysis or the estimate of overall experimental error. CARD gives you the option of dropping the outlier or retaining it.

CARD identifies your effector variables and ranks them from highest to lowest in terms of the relative strength of their defined linear, interactive, and nonlinear effects.

• Residual Analysis and Charting

CARD automatically computes residuals, and creates Experiment Variable residuals charts, a Response residuals chart, and a Sample Number residuals chart.

• Complete 2D and 3D Graphics

CARD’s GRAPH WIZARD makes it easy to select variables for graphing. Once selected, CARD automatically creates a 3D response surface graph, a 2D contour graph, a trace plot for each selected mixture variable, and an effects plot for each process (non-mixture) variable.

• Multiple Response Optimization

CARD lets you simultaneously optimize your experiment variables for ALL measured response properties, including COST. You can also enter proposed level settings for your variables, and CARD will automatically present predicted values for all your measured response properties.
