Magnetic Stirrers
TWC BioSearch/Bellco Magnetic Stirrers are specifically
designed for growing both mammalian and bacterial cultures where minimal
heat transfer from the magnetic stirrer to the culture vessel is essential.
They are ideal for tissue cultures grown in spinner flasks. Bellco incorporates
low wattage DC motors to reduce stirrer heat-up along with solid state
circuitry for precise RPM control. Independent power and speed controls
allow unit to maintain a speed setting when switched on and off. Powerful
magnets rotate on ball bearing shafts for increased coupling and continuous
maintenance free service. Polyurethane drive belts resist humidity and
temperature. Our 115 volt models feature a convenience outlet that allows
daisy chaining of up to ten stirrers. This is advantageous when using stirrers
in an incubator. Employ Bellco Magnetic Stirrers on the bench, in a cold
room or incubator. Inquire about special speed ranges to meet your particular
requirements.

7762-Four Position Piggy Back Stirrer
Place a Piggy Back on top of a Bellco Magnetic Stirrer and convert each drive position to four positions instantly. The magnetic field of the stirrer drives the Piggy Back unit. Each Piggy Back stirs two 250 ml and two 500 ml flasks from 50 to 500 RPM.

7766-Sci/ERA® Quad Drives
The Bellco Sci/ERA® Quad Drive System provides precise control of microcarrier and cell suspension culture agitation within environmental chambers without subjecting sensitive electronics to harmful climates. A system consists of a Master Controller (which houses the electronic components), up to four Magnetic Stirrer Modules and connecting cables. Place Magnetic Stirrer Modules in an humidified CO2 atmosphere and operate them with the Master Controller located outside of the conditions.
The Quad Drive Master Controller delivers precise control
of stirrer speed and cycle time. A brushless, low wattage stepper motor,
ten turn potentiometer and large, calibrated LED display enable sensitive
speed selection from 2.0 to 100.0 RPM. Motor control circuitry ramps up
and down, so changes in speed or timer cycling will not traumatize the
culture with abrupt changes in agitator rotation. The timer provides over
100,000 cycle combinations governing all remote modules. You can have the
stirrer run one minute every hour for cell attachment to microcarriers
or one minute every 16 hours for unique applications such as supernatant
sampling. Independent run and idle time controls are conveniently set with
thumb wheel switches and a countdown LED displays time remaining in the
cycle. The Dual Speed Control version runs remote stirrers at two velocities
simultaneously (each speed control regulates two outputs jacks ).

7765-Sci/ERA® Power Pack
The Sci/ERA® Power Pack provides up to 18 hours of continuous power during electrical outages to protect cell cultures and experiments from loss of agitation. The Power Pack supports the Sci/ERA® Precision Magnetic Stirrer line as well as Quad Drive Control Systems in cases of line power failure. It is also a convenient source of power to operate Sci/ERA® instruments in locations where line power is unavailable. The battery is a maintenance free 18 volt sealed gel cell type rated at 7.5 amp hours, 4 amp fused. An automatic low battery cut off feature prevents complete discharge to assure maximum battery life.
