AIR FILTER TUBE
The TWC BioSearch/Bellco Air Filter Tube utilizes cotton
fibers as the filtering agent. Cotton fibers, however, do not provide a
sterile filtering environment. The filter tube can be used on the Bellco
Control System for gas exchange and will not clog if the cotton becomes
compressed. The air filter tube is also used as a means to slow down the
flow of any gas being introduced into a vessel, which allows a more even
gas entry.

HUNGATE TYPE ANAEROBIC CULTURE TUBE
The Hungate Anaerobic Culture Tube was developed for growing and maintaining anaerobic bacteria and culture conditions. The technique is simple:
1.Exclude oxygen by flushing the tube with the desired gas
2.Place 4.5ml of pre-reduced anaerobic agar medium into tube
3.Seal the tube with the butyl rubber stopper and screw cap
4.Autoclave the tube
5.Inoculate with a syringe
6.Prepare on roll tube spinner
7.Incubate in water bath
2047-Hungate Culture Tube
•Gas tight tube designed for obtaining and maintaining anaerobic culture conditions
•The method described by Hungate et.al, utilizes syringe methods for anaerobiosis
•Anaerobic culture tubes contain three autoclavable parts; a screw cap
with a 9mm opening, a flange type non toxic butyl rubber stopper that is
gas impermeable, and a disposable screw cap culture tube

Bellco Culture Tubes are available in flint (soda-lime), borosilicate,
or Pyrex® glass. These tubes are autoclavable and shipped
chemically clean (not sterile) in lint free cartons. Color coding available
on (borosilicate and Pyrex® only) provides a convenient
method of culture identification and is available for an additional charge.
COLOR CODE ORDERING INFORMATION
Colors available: white, blue, green, red, black, yellow, orange, and brown. When ordering
color coding, use the regular stock number shown and specify color desired. For example, if you
need 16 x 150 Screw Cap Culture Tubes that are color coded blue, order 2012-16150-Blue
Orders for color coding are subject to 5% over or under runs.
Minimum order for color coding - two (2) cases of one (1) color.

LEIGHTON CULTURE TUBES
Leighton Culture Tubes are useful for the study of cytopathogenic
effects of viruses on cells as well as sponge matrix cultures and nutritional
studies. Use coverslips for preparing explant tissue cultures with Leighton
Culture Tubes also.
