1943-Chemotaxis Chamber

The Chemotaxis Chamber is used for the measurement of chemotaxis of polymorphonuclear leukocytes using small volumes of blood. It is similar to the Sykes-Moore Chamber, but uses two gaskets instead of one, forming two chambers separated by a 25mm diameter, 3 micron membrane filter (not included). Each chamber will hold approximately 0.5 milliliters. Inoculation vents are located on both the top and bottom sections. The required wrench assembly is sold separately.

1943-Sykes-Moore Culture Chamber

The Sykes-Moore Culture Chamber permits the study of cells by means of high magnification, phase optics, or time lapse techniques. Use the chamber with stationary culture when medium is changed intermittently by use of a syringe. Cover slips are separated and an internal seal is maintained by a nontoxic, silicone gasket preventing contact between culture and metal. The gasket is penetrated by a needle to gain entrance to the culture area. Four holes are provided equidistantly around the chambers for introduction of samples. The chamber provides a 2.83 cm2 viewing area and holds approximately 0.65 to 0.75 milliliters, depending on gasket size.. A wrench assembly is required and is listed separately below.
