BELLCO SPINNER FLASKS

The complete line of Bellco Spinner Flasks and accessories offer researchers the best way to scale up their cell culture needs. Bellco's design offers researchers the option to stir the contents from either top drive (direct coupling) or from bottom stir plates (magnetic coupling).
 
 

1965-Spinner Flasks

•Designed for optimal growth of suspension and microcarrier cell cultures

•May be used for insect cell cultures at reduced volume so paddle breaks liquid- air interface for increased oxygen requirements

•Fluid dynamic impeller assemblies assure optimal lift of microcarrier beads or cell suspensions at very low mixing speeds

•Positive locking compression seal provides adjustable impeller assembly height

•Optional accessories for fluid transfer, gassing and probes (for example, pH and pO2.) are also available

•Constructed of non-toxic materials for ultra-efficient growth of anchorage dependent and suspension cells

•Fluid does not contact bearing surface preventing grinding of microcarriers or cells

•Indented vessel bottom prevents microcarrier accumulations

•500ml and larger flasks utilize 45 mm linerless screw caps and no-drip side arms

•1000 ml and larger flasks include unique 100 mm Bellco center caps

•Graduated for approximate volumes

•Ideal for labs with limited space or those without access to an incubator or warm room

•To be used in conjunction with a circulating water bath and magnetic stirrers

•Can be hooked up in parallel with multiple flasks

•Hose connection accommodates 1/2" OD x 3/8" ID silicone tubing (Bellco part number M7965037)

•Available complete with microcarrier impeller assembly ormay be ordered as "flask only"

1965-Internal Overhead Bearing Impeller Assembly with Flask

•Available in 100 to 36000ml sizes

•Cap assembly features an internal bearing which decreases risk of contamination caused by exposed shafts and compression fittings

•Stainless steel shaft rotates in the bearing above the media eliminating cell damage and shear produced by grinding

•Overhead bearing prevents clogging and potential decoupling

•Positive locking shaft assembly to eliminate decoupling and shaft slippage

•No external impeller shaft protruding from cap

•Adjustable shaft assembly to regulate paddle assembly positioning

•Large paddle size increases stirring action for improved oxygenation

•3000 to 36000ml sizes include additional adjustable paddle

The Trypsinizing Flask was developed for converting tissue fragments and homogenates into cell suspensions by the use of trypsin, an enzyme that digests connective proteins. The flutes enhance vigorous agitation to speed up the digestive process and cell separation. Trypsinizing flasks are commonly used to produce embryonic chick cells from whole embryos.
