NIH Office of Extramural Research - Stats and information about NIH grants, as well as a searchable database (CRISP) of federally supported research projects.
WebElements Periodic Table - An interactive periodic table. Includes a short background and description, along with uses, electronic properties, physical properties, and crystal structures for each element. There are even nerdy science cartoons and a few short movies.

The National Biotechnology Information Facility (NBIF) - A dizzying number of links to research tools and databases related to the life sciences.
National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) - A national resource for molecular biology information from the National Library of Medicine and NIH. This is the home of the popular Entrez databases. You can search PubMed, submit your sequence to GenBank, perform BLAST searches and get genome information on a number of different organisms.
Primer 3 - An interactive, forms-based tool for designing primers from an input DNA sequence.

Baylor College of Medicine Search Launcher - Search multiple databases with a single input nucleic acid or protein sequence. You can also get secondary structure predictions based on sequences.
Molecules R Us Utility - A searchable PDB database of protein and nucleic acid structures.
Nucleic Acid Database - An X-ray structure database of nucleic acids and nucleic acid-containing structures. Includes an interface to search nucleic acid-containing NMR structures.
Protein Data Bank - A searchable database of 3-D macromolecular structures.
Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms for Biomedical Research - A public database of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the human genome.

Biowire - A resource for user-written reviews of life science products. Requires membership (free).

Molecular Biology Techniques Forum - A forum for reader-submitted techniques, tips and questions concerning molecular biology. Run by the Northwest Fisheries Science Center.
PCR and Multiplex PCR: Guide and Troubleshooting - A very informative guide to PCR, including discussions of parameters influencing PCR, troubleshooting advice and PCR applications. Also includes links to a discussion of FISH (fluorescent in situ hybridization) and CCK (color changing karyotyping).
The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Jump Station - Bills itself as "the ultimate Web page for information and links on all aspects of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)," which is actually a pretty good description of its offerings.
Protocols for Recombinant DNA Isolation, Cloning and Sequencing - An extensive protocol collection of common methods (mostly DNA related) used in molecular biology laboratories. The RNA Society - A FASEB organization. Get information about the RNA Society annual meeting and upcoming events.
Free Energy and Enthalpy Tables for RNA Folding - A collection of tools and tables for estimating the free energies of various RNA secondary structures. From D.H. Turner's lab at the University of Rochester.
